Note: The patcher isn't currently signed.It did introduce personal hotspot support for me, but I can't test WPA2 Enterprise and it was always stable for me, so I can't say much about the other problems. The current patch works most of the time but personal hotspots and WPA2 enterprise networks don't (always) work plus WiFi is just in and outįor some users. I wanted to try the WiFi patch from Mini Monterey on Big Sur. Your Mac will reboot, and you should now have macOS working properly again, with patches applied and the Window Borders fixed as well.Hit Continue when it’s installed and your Mac will reboot. Click Continue to reinstall if you haven’t already. ![]() If you have the MojaveUI app on your computer for the Window Border fix, click Restart Later when the patches are reinstalled. When the patches are all reinstalled, hit Restart Now for the changes to take effect. At the bottom of the window, click Re-install All. When it says, “No new updates available”, click View Installed Patches. Go to Launchpad > Utilities folder > Patch Updater. If it does that, reinstall the patches it tells you to. ![]() The Patch Updater may open and tell you that the Security Update overwritten the patches you had installed before. If things like the dock and menu bar look weird and non-transparent, this is normal. Your Mac will reboot back normally to macOS. When the patch is complete, click Reboot. Select your model from the dropdown list (It will tell you the model you have if you don’t know), and it will automatically select the patches needed. When the patcher USB boots up, navigate to the UtilitiesLauncher in the bottom left corner of the screen. Select the Mojave Patcher USB and hit enter. Turn off your Mac & turn it back on again, this time, immediately pressing and holding the Option key until a boot menu appears. This is where the Mojave Patcher USB comes in. Press a key or wait a few seconds to continue starting up.” If you see that message, do not panic. You may see a message that says, “Your computer restarted because of a problem. But the Security Updates have a platform check, it prevents the Mac from booting. When the updates are installed, your Mac will try to boot up normally. Your Mac will restart and begin installing the updates. When the updates are finished, a notification banner will show up and ask if you want to Restart your Mac now to install the updates. While the updates are downloading, connect your Mojave Patcher USB installer to your computer. It will say that some updates require you to restart your Mac. Make sure the Security Update is checked, along with any other updates you wish to do. You will click that, and another menu will appear that will show the updates. Once your computer finds the Security Update, it should say “Other updates are available” under the macOS Catalina upgrade banner. Your computer will check for any updates available. Open System Preferences > Software Update. DO NOT try to convert to APFS inside the patcher USB, it will brick your machine. If you are using macOS Extended Journaled, you’ll have to backup your data and erase your drive, and change the format to APFS. Note: In order for you to receive software and security updates on the patcher, your drive must be formatted as APFS. You’ll need to have your Mojave Patcher USB Installer handy.
